Draft for Jamaican legal review

Privacy Notice

Last updated: October 21, 2026

Information we handle

When an account is created, we process its email address and sign in information. Owners may submit business names, contact details, parish, town, landmark directions, services, opening hours, website requirements, and other content. Payment submissions include transfer references and receipt files. Our team processes these records to provide website services and review payments.

Some initial directory entries were compiled from publicly available Google business information. The operator must confirm permission and honor correction or removal requests before production launch.

Public websites and assisted page creation

Approved active website content and its public contact details can be viewed by anyone. Pending websites are not included in the public directory. When an owner requests assisted page creation, the submitted business details and notes are processed by trusted services to produce draft content. Owners should review their content before publication. That processing is also subject to the applicable service terms and privacy notice.

Services and cookies

We use trusted services for sign in, database storage, private receipt storage, content processing, and hosting. Authentication cookies are used to keep sessions working. This site does not intentionally use advertising cookies or sell personal information.

Retention and deletion

Account data, owned listings, payment records, and uploaded receipt files are removed when an authenticated user completes account deletion. A minimal security audit event may remain without a direct account identifier. Public business listings that are not owned by a user are not removed by an unrelated account deletion. Backups may retain deleted data until their normal rotation completes.

Contact

The operator's privacy contact has not been configured. A support email must be set with NEXT_PUBLIC_SUPPORT_EMAIL before production launch.

This draft describes the current application behavior and is not legal advice. Have Jamaican counsel review it and confirm retention, transfer, and privacy obligations before launch.
